Getting bored of staying home?  Thinking this is still not a good time to job hunt?  You are wrong.  Companies are hiring remotely for remote and live jobs, for part-time and full-time jobs.  Here are some things to do now.

1) Research companies where you would like to work.  Look at their website, read their annual report, read trade journals.  Find out how they are preparing to change their business model for after COVID.
2) Email a hiring manager (not HR) someone one or two levels above your level.  Give your brief pitch, explain your background, list 2 or 3 accomplishments and how you can help them.
3) Call to arrange for a virtual meeting or call.  This can be via Zoom or Skype or Facetime.  You want to find out what challenges they are facing and how you can help.
4) Re-write your resume to highlight your best skills and accomplishments.  Tweak your resume for each job you go for using key words and phrases from that particular job description..  Remember, there is no such thing as the perfect resume.  It is not one resume fits all.

5)  Re-connect with former colleagues, former supervisors, long-lost friends and alumni from your high school, college, and graduate school.  People will be overjoyed to hear from you.  Everyone is hungry for connections.
